Ditch Happenings January 19th - 22nd

Posted on January 22, 2016 at 4:14 PM by Acacia Wytaske

At this week's Board of Commissioner's Meeting, one Drainage Inspection Report was approved; CD56 (Lincoln & Garden City Townships) was approved to have the beavers removed. Once the beavers are removed, we will work with the City of Lake Crystal to remove the beaver dam that is causing high water levels in the ditch.

The bid for CD28 (Lincoln Township) was awarded to Vortex Drain Tiling LLC from Grand Forks, ND.  Click this link to see the recommendation letter from the Engineer, Chuck Brandel of ISG.  A construction meeting will be held in the near future and construction is expected to start this spring.

This week we received a petition for the removal of property from CD28 (Lincoln Township).  We have forwarded the petition to our attorney for review. If the petition is found to be valid, it will be presented to the board at the next board meeting.
