As our fellow family members and friends head-out once again for spring planting, please use some extra caution when driving and traveling around them and their large equipment.
We are asking our farmers or fellow operators that are out planting this spring, to please notify us at the county Drainage department when you see an issue with our county tile or county ditch systems. Ryan and Craig were out doing inspections this week and witnessed a few situations that could have been prevented if notified earlier. Ryan will primarily be doing on-site inspections and handling of the issues that pop up throughout the year. This addition of Ryan to the drainage staff will hopefully offer constituents more timely service to their drainage concerns.
At this week's Board of Commissioner's Meeting, two Drainage Inspection Reports were presented; CD35 (Mapleton Township) was approved to have multiple areas of sloughing repaired. CD86 (Beauford Township) was approved to have 680 feet replaced.
CD96 (Danville Township) - Ryan stopped out at the site and spoke with the contractor, Ground Works. East side of the road was just getting wrapped up, as west side of road is just getting going. New control structure is done and in place on east side of road.
New control structure on east side of BECO HWY 14, just north of Minnesota Lake.
