Mark Piepho, Blue Earth County District 3 Commissioner, was appointed to the new Heading Home Together Leadership Circle, which focuses on implementing Minnesota’s Action Plan to Prevent and End Homelessness.
The Leadership Circle was created to bring together individuals with lived experience, nonprofit housing and service providers, faith, philanthropy, and government from across Minnesota to prevent and end homelessness statewide.
Commissioner Piepho has been involved with the homelessness issue and affordable housing throughout his time as a Blue Earth County Commissioner. For the past 10 years, he has served on the Partners for Affordable Housing Board of Directors. He is currently serving as President of the board for the sixth year.
The Leadership Circle is based on the belief that by working together, the group can radically change how problems are identified and solved, accelerate progress toward the vision of housing and stability for all Minnesotans, and realize an end to homelessness in the state by making it rare, brief, and one-time.
The cross-sector group will be co-chaired by the Pohl Family Foundation and the Commissioner of the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency.
