MBCIA Bull Test Open House March 16

Foundation Feeders and Minnesota Beef Cattle Improvement Association will be holding an open house on Sunday March 16th from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at Foundation Feeders near Spring Grove Minnesota. Beef cow-calf producers are invited to come and look over the beef bulls entered in the standardized performance bull test. Ultrasound data will be available on the bulls at the open house. There will be two purchasing options for obtaining bulls this year. Bull owners had to select a sale option for each bull when they were entered in the performance test last fall.
An auction of the bulls entered for the auction sale, which pass the performance requirements, will be held on Friday April 4th at the Sale Barn in Jackson Minnesota.
A private treaty pen sale will be held Saturday April 5th at Foundation Feeders near Spring Grove. At the pen sale, bulls with the same price (set by the seller) will be penned together, and will be sold on a first come first serve basis.
Directions to Foundation Feeders are as follows. On highway 44 between Caledonia and Spring Grove, MN go south on County road 17, where county road 17 curves to the left, go south (straight) on South View Road. Go about 1 mile on South View Road, take a left onto the long driveway. Signs will be posted on Highway 44 and at the driveway. For more information contact Ron Holty at 507-429-7963.
