2010 Blue Earth County Citizens Academy

Residents are invited to participate in the new Blue Earth County Citizens Academy which kicks off in March.  The program will offer a unique opportunity for citizens to get an inside perspective on how county government works, allow participants to become acquainted with local elected leaders and staff within a variety of departments and provide informative sessions to give an overview of Blue Earth County services.  Participants will also get the chance to tour a number of County facilities for a hands-on learning experience.

The free program will take place over the course of six evening sessions on Tuesdays in March and April from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at rotating County facilities.  The first session will begin on March 16, 2010 with the last session on April 20. The program will end with participants receiving special recognition from the Blue Earth County Board of Commissioners at a board meeting on Tuesday, May 11, 2010.  Class size is limited to 20 participants, age 18 and above.
