Blue Earth County Safe Communities Coalition
Our Mission:
To reduce alcohol related traffic fatalities, increase seatbelt usage, and address teen high risk driving behaviors.
Who We Are:
We are a group of conerned community members from both public and private areas who have joined forces as part of a state-wide, multi-agency campaign called Toward Zero Deaths. The coalition is federally funded through the Office of Traffic Safety. To become a member or if you're interested in helping spread our message contact Kim Allison at (507) 304-4449.
Current Community Outreach Programs:
“People Think” (Ongoing)
Posters will be circulated throughout area businesses and schools to promote awareness regarding seatbelt use, distracted driving and impaired driving. The campaign started in April of 2007 and will continue with rotating poster messages throughout the year. All posters are provided by Tow Distributing.
