Adult foster care is a licensed living arrangement in a private home that provides food, lodging, supervision and household services for qualified individuals who also may need help with personal care, medication and other activities of daily living.
Adult foster care providers are primary caregivers for adults who cannot live alone. Adult foster care is provided by the Minnesota Department of Human Services through Blue Earth County.

Blue Earth County supports safe foster care and promotes care of disabled adults in a manner that encourages their highest level of functioning. County licensing staff is responsible for licensing and monitoring adult foster care providers within Blue Earth County according to Minnesota law.
