The Blue Earth County trail system includes over 13 paved miles appropriate for walking/running, biking, rollar-blading, and some cross-country skiing. bike trail
lesueur river The Red Jacket Trail runs through spectacular scenery from the Minnesota River at Mankato south to productive prairie land. The trail, which follows a former railroad, runs near the Blue Earth River, crosses the Le Sueur River over a trestle, and for much of its length follows a deeply incised natural ravine.
Along the trail you'll pass Mount Kato Ski and Bike Area and the Red Jacket Park. The park includes a picnic shelter, drinking water, parking lot, viewing area, and a canoe launch into the Le Sueur River. Mount Kato
tunnel The South Route Trail runs along side Blue Earth County Hwy. 90 from Hwy. 60 to Hwy. 22, intersecting the Red Jacket Trail one mile north of the Red Jacket Park.
