About Sexual Violence
Sexual violence is an act -verbal, and/or physical - which breaks a person’s trust or sense of safety and is sexual in nature. Sexual violence can include, but is not limited to, adult and juvenile sexual assault, incest, child sexual abuse, sexual harassment, sexual exploitation, obscene phone calls, stalking, exposing, and recent and non-recent assaults.
Listed below are several resources for sexual violence survivors, their concerned others, and community members.
Packets
Packets are designed to assist survivors and their concerned others with the recovery process. Each packet contains various articles and information written by either professionals or survivors of sexual violence. Although some of information may seem repetitive, it presented in a different perspective or an easier to understand format. It is recommended that the reader select the articles that appeal to them and remember this information is meant to be read at leisure.
